understand the value of contextualizing, fitting design interventions to a person or a community’s unique lived experiences;

respect and promote viewpoint diversity and, if that’s not possible, they acknowledge the lack thereof in their work;

engage with complex business and social challenges and they do so with pure intentions and open minds;

have a bias towards action because they trust innovation is in the implementation, not in the spreadsheet or the slide deck.
